“The problem with a lot of people is that they don’t really know where the next step is,” Dr Jana Jain, a clinical nutritionist and the director of nutrition research at the University of NSW’s Institute of Health and Ageing, told news.com.au.

First and foremost, you need to eat better.
If you’re doing a lot more cardio, such as swimming, running or cycling, it may help you burn more calories.
“In the longer term, it will probably reduce the amount of calories you burn from food by about a third,” she said.
You can also eat a more nutrient-rich diet, including nuts and fruit, or lean meats.
“That’s what we all need to do if we want to be successful at losing weight,” Dr. Jain continued.
The best way to do this, according to the Australian Council of Dietitians, is to eat a balanced diet, but to keep an eye on your weight.
“We know that a lot people don.
But it’s hard to be specific,” Dr Kaitlyn Stirling said.
“It depends on a lot about how much exercise you’re engaging in, and how much you’re eating.”
If you can’t find the answers to these questions, you might need to start looking at what is already there.
“There’s a whole lot of data that shows that we’re actually losing weight, but we’re not losing it in a big way,” Dr Stirling told news,com.uk.
“Some of the things that you can achieve in the short term can be pretty hard to keep going into the long term.”
