Tennis player Maria Sharapova has been accused of taking a badmood pill that led to her getting so worked up that she went on the run for several days.
Sharapov has been on the receiving end of criticism in Russia over her behavior and has been hit with a defamation suit in the past, and the latest controversy comes as she prepares to take on the US in a women’s singles match on Thursday night in Moscow.
Sharapov’s good friend Maria Sharipova, who has been in a relationship with Sharapovich since last summer, tweeted a picture of herself and Sharapovic, who are in Russia on a business trip.
The pair appeared to be at the same hotel together on a Friday afternoon, and Sharipov said she went to bed early and went to the bathroom.
“I’m not sure if she got her badmouthed by me or not, but she was just super super upset,” Sharapovsky tweeted.
Sharipov has had a tough time adjusting to life in the US, and her previous feuds with the US have been a source of concern for the tennis world.
She has a bitter history with the United States, dating back to her days as a teenager when she was barred from playing for the US team at the 1998 Beijing Olympics.
Sharipovsky has not won a medal at the Beijing Olympics since 2000, losing the last three tournaments to Serena Williams.
Sharper has had her ups and downs in the sport.
Sharper became a top tennis player in 2008 and was voted into the ATP Hall of Fame in 2016.
But after she broke her wrist and broke her collarbone in a training accident, she struggled to get back to the top.
She returned to the sport as a star in 2017 and is widely regarded as one of the best female players in the world.
